Can’t Spell Nemesis Without…

Posted by Dirck on 28 September, 2012

…emesis.

Whatever had done my son in on Friday and got my wife down to the point that I had to leave work early on Wednesday to make sure Patient Zero wasn’t neglected has finally battered down my barricades.  That most ancient of human enemies, living in close proximity to other humans, has claimed another win.

As I don’t have a film picked out, why not have a chuckle at underground humour in a very literal sense?

Today’s pen, in as much as today has a pen: Waterman 52 (I may well dig into the standby crowd rather than risk this pen to a spasmodic gesture)
Today’s ink: Lamy blue-black

  1. Heh. Reminds me of the notices we used to post at school. Remember “Allah sez: ….”? We were ahead of our time.

  2. I love those London Underground signs. It makes me miss living in London so much.

I hope you recover quickly and easily. My Parker Duofold with Private Reserve Sherwood Green also wishes you well.

    Underground humour—nice gags (pun intended).
Hope you and your family are feeling better soon!

  4. All’s well after a weekend of no relaxing at all. I’ve never know something so generally cold-like to afflict the G-I portions quite so much though; I’m glad it wasn’t more vigorous, and I thank you for the well-wishes.

It was likely something not related to the cold (retired pharmacist here 😉 but I’m glad to hear you & your family are feeling better!

      • I’d agree, but there’s a damnably convincing co-incidence of the timing of onset of ALL symptoms in sufferers. But, since our respective immune systems have had a taste of it (or, I suppose, ‘them’ as may be), perhaps it’s a moot point now.
